Social Mission:

Severe ageing problem is a threat to the growth of many countries and areas, including Hong Kong. By 2034, 1 out of 3 Hong Kong population will be over 65 years old. An increased proportion of older people living with chronic disease and physical deterioration have resulted in rising demand for long-term care services for the elderly. The government is struggling to find an efficient and effective way to take care of the increasing ageing population. Home care services have to be improved to tackle the fast aging population.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong government has allocated a fund of over 15 billion HKD to train unemployed and underemployed population. Government Employees’ Retaining Board (ERB) has trained 9,000 for domestic services and 4,000 healthcare services on average per year. But the employment rate of these training professionals is still very low because the job deployment is not effective and the long hours and low hour rate are not attractive. Homecare market in Asia Pacific is huge, but not without challenges – limited insurance coverage; lack of awareness about home care; patient safety concerns. In Hong Kong, there are also specific market challenges – reputation damage; low efficiency; demanding work conditions; shortage of manpower; and unsalable.

Easycare is a one-stop healthcare services booking App in Hong Kong with integrated functions – scheduling, payment and review system. All the featured caregivers have been through interview and practical test by Easycare senior medical team, after receiving their certificates from government professionals training centers. With interview, insurance coverage and rating system, Easycare brings trust and standardization to the care industry.
